Angela Bryce

Author of You Can Be Anything You Want to Be!

When did you know that you wanted to be a writer?

I have always been a creative at heart. Ever since I was a little girl, I found comfort and joy in creating things, whether writing a poem, a song, or simply journaling.

What inspired your book?

My children inspired both of my children’s books. They are such a light and blessing, plus they keep me young!

What courses/ persons in school shaped your choice to become a writer?

One Professor, in particular, stands out in my mind – Mrs. Brown. She was my English professor in college and she was always so poised and encouraged me as well as the rest of the students to not just write but write from the heart.

What was the best advice given to you per your career?

If you don’t ask it’s an automatic “No” remember that.

What advice would you give any young writer?

Persevere and keep writing, no matter what.

What does your family and friends think about your writing?

My kids love reading my books and are even inspired to write their own books. My youngest created his very own comic book!

Do you feel your book has a lesson?

Yes. I want all children no matter the race, gender, ethnicity to believe they can be anything they want in life.

What has been the best compliment of your book?

The biggest compliment came from a Mother who shared her daughter enjoyed reading the book everynight before she went to sleep each night. By far the best compliment ever!

What do you love most about writing?

Writing really is cathartic for me and I love taking time to express my thoughts, feelings, and ideas. It‘s an added plus to be able to bring those ideas to fruition.

Any lasting thoughts for your readers?

God has given us each of us gifts and talents. Use them. Tap into those gifts and your strengths to do what you love and enjoy.
